WAYNE GIBSON
Founder & Certified Professional Inspector®
Southern Cross Home Services was founded by Wayne Walker, whose professional background spans law enforcement, carpentry, home remodeling, and education. These diverse experiences have shaped the methodical, detail-focused approach he brings to every home inspection.
Before becoming a professional home inspector, Wayne spent seven years in law enforcement in New Zealand, where integrity, systematic observation, attention to detail, problem-solving, and clear communication were essential parts of his work. His hands-on experience in carpentry and home remodeling also provided practical knowledge of residential construction, building components, renovations, and how the different systems of a home work together.
Wayne's background in education brings another important element to his inspection process. He believes identifying a concern is only part of the job. Clients should also understand what was observed, why it matters, and what the appropriate next steps may be.
As an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector®, Wayne combines his real-world experience with professional inspection training and modern inspection technology to provide detailed, systematic home inspections throughout Cumming and North Atlanta.
At Southern Cross Home Services, Wayne's goal is simple: to help clients better understand their home so they can make informed decisions and move forward with confidence.

As an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector®, Wayne has completed professional home inspection training covering the major systems and components of residential properties and follows InterNACHI’s Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
